Education
Our vision anticipates a future where every person can achieve their potential. Providing students with a good education makes that future possible. To realize our vision, United Way is seeking to end disparate outcomes for our community’s families.
Financial stability
Households can succeed when they have income that covers their basic needs. To ensure their success, United Way is providing resources that help people in our community build and maintain their financial stability.
Health
A healthy person is better positioned to contribute to our community. Being unable to receive healthcare makes people feel desperate. To improve access, United Way is connecting Alaskans to free, confidential help to find their available options.
Housing
A meaningful life begins, continues and ends in a home. Some neighbors need support to secure and keep housing. To ensure instances of homelessness rare and brief, United Way is getting people into stable homes and empowering them to become self-sufficient.
Helpline
Alaskans everywhere need help from time to time. To connect them with food, shelter, services, programs, assistance, healthcare, childcare, transportation and much more, United Way is continuing to run Alaska 211—our one-stop statewide helpline.
