We’re propping up Families with young and school-aged children .
We coordinate with health clinics, nonprofits and workplaces that assist families who have infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-aged children. Our community’s needs evolve, ebb and flow. This webpage provides updates about our current efforts to support kids.
Meeting students’ needs
Anchorage School District (ASD) staff and behavioral health practitioners at Providence Alaska and Volunteers of America assist vulnerable students. When they identify students’ needs, we can cover pressing expenses. Our support helps kids feel valued and stay in school.
Increasing graduation rates
The Back on Track program helps high school students who are at-risk of dropping out of school. This program creates a path for them to recover high school credits and graduate. We can provide funds that ensure these students have the items they need to flourish.
Connecting families with resources
We coordinate with groups that support children. They include Program for Infants and Children, Anchorage Early Childhood Coalition and ASD’s Child in Transition program. Alaska 211 connects students experiencing homelessness with Homeless Education Liaisons, too.
