We’re helping community members build sustainable lives.
We want all our community members housed, financially stable and able to increase their incomes and save for their futures. When people are financially unstable, their health and opportunities suffer. We engage in efforts that create and sustain economic self-sufficiency.
Did you know…?
- It takes $53,000 a year in salary to afford a 2 bedroom apartment in Anchorage, and over 17,000 families in Anchorage are earning less?
- Average annual wages in the retail and tourism industry is $25,000?

Resources for our community members
By working together as a community, we are able to bring tools and resources to our residents that will get them on the right track to building financial stability and ensuring a strong future for themselves and their families. With your support, we can continue to increase the number of individuals and families who benefit from education, assistance and support in the financial area of their lives.
Free tax prep
Connecting Alaskans with free tax prep is just one of the ways we’re helping them achieve financial stability. By calling Alaska 211, filers may be able to schedule appointments with IFS-certified tax preparers. They’ll learn if they qualify for refunds or credits.
