Greg Gallagher has joined United Way’s leadership team as Vice President of Philanthropy. He’s been our Individual Giving Officer since 2022. Greg has more than 10 years of fundraising experience working for institutions, including Covenant House Alaska and the University of Alaska Anchorage.
Greg enjoys working for United Way because it allows him to serve his community. “I’ve lived and worked all over the country,” he says. “By far, Anchorage is the city where I’ve found the greatest solidarity among citizens. I’m humbled by the opportunity to continue serving this community and honored to rally with United Way supporters to help our neighbors who need us most.”
Greg’s now leading our team that is working to connect corporations, philanthropic organizations and individual donors to impactful work in our community. A graduate of Claremont McKenna College, Greg earned a master’s degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He lives in Anchorage with his wife and two sons.
We’re excited to welcome him to our leadership team as a vice president. We look forward to Greg’s continued service to our community.
