Are you still wondering what to give for the holidays? Every year, I ponder what to give and hope for the best. Sometimes it’s easy to come up with ideas. But picking the right gift, the best gift – something useful, affordable, needed and appreciated – can be a tough call. Here’s something new to consider – something that can make a real difference: The United Way Holiday Gift catalog.
Take a few minutes and see what we suggest. We’re not selling anything fancy. In fact, we’re not selling any “things” at all. We offering you a chance to give gifts that matter and target very specific and real needs to help people here in Anchorage. For example, $20 for tutoring a child. Or feed a hungry family for a week for just $25. Or help keep people warm – $150 to pay heating bills. Or $30 to buy books to encourage kids to read.
We have big goals here at United Way – working to ensure that children and families have safe, warm places to sleep, food to eat and opportunities that lead to stability and success in school, at work and in our community. We invite you to help achieve our community goals. Please choose from our gift catalog – I guarantee that will provide some very real help.
Sincere thanks.
