In Alaska, community members are our biggest change agents. Whether a family of four volunteers at a soup kitchen or a locally owned LLC encourages its employees to help their community, everyday people give back how they can. Since 1956, our Community Campaign has provided Alaskans with opportunities to unite around a common vision so that everyone can meet their potential. Three recent workplace campaigns have shown how Alaskans make a difference right here in our state.

These workplaces prioritize giving back to Alaska. While they differ in their approaches and skillsets and are embedded in different sectors of Alaska’s economy, they’re each committed to improving Alaskans’ lives and communities. From day-to-day operations to above-and-beyond support, Kuna, Food Bank and PIC strengthen Alaska. They inspire people in their offices to help others through the work that they do, the donations that they make and the time that they give. Get involved too by donating, volunteering and attending events.
They had the largest percentage increases during our 2024 Community Campaign. Here’s how each of these three workplaces grew their support:
- Kuna secured new leadership-level donations, reinforcing its commitment to us.
- Food Bank gave more overall, raising 935% more than they did in 2023.
- PIC earned more participants, increasing its employee supporters by 133%.
We are so grateful for all they did to support our 2024 Community Campaign. Every workplace that runs a campaign—including Kuna, Food Bank and PIC—helps more Alaskans have opportunities to thrive. Alaska nonprofits, our funded partners, other United Ways in Alaska and we can do more to help more Alaskans because of you.
Thank you to all supporters of United Way of Anchorage!
