For communications and marketing professionals, few projects are more exciting than branding. Why? It’s more than a logo. Branding’s how an agency thinks, acts, and communicates. The social media icon matters as much as the answer a staff member gives when someone asks, “So, what do you do for work?”
Do you see why we’re thrilled to share that we’re about to hit “refresh” on our brand?
First, let’s get this out of the way: What’s a rebrand vs. a refresh? A rebrand often means a total transformation—something almost recognizable. A refresh, on the other hand, is more like a makeover. Picture United Way confidently sauntering out of a salon. Imagine our new hairstyle complementing our engaging, energizing, and elevating personality.
Since the start of this year, our Marketing and Communications team has prepared to bring the global refresh to life here in our community. We’ll start rolling out our updated look soon.
Here’s what you can expect:
- More precise messaging that captures the breadth and depth of our work
- A strengthened logo that emphasizes United Way’s iconic “Circle of Hope”
- Crisp fonts, bold colors, and graphic elements for texture, contrast, and readability
These changes are more than a global effort. They represent our inclusive, dynamic approach and help people engage. Over the next year, United Ways worldwide are adopting the refreshed brand to strengthen our collective identity while spotlighting local impact.
But wait…there’s more! It’s not just our communications getting a glow-up. Our website’s undergoing a renovation. We’re combining the refreshed brand with a streamlined, user-friendly website. We’re making it easier to access our work and resources and get involved.
It’s always exciting to be part of United Way of Anchorage’s mission, especially as we’re rolling out our Community Impact Agenda alongside this refreshed brand.
Will you join us as, together, we impact our community for the better?
