United Way of Anchorage sees daily the impact private, public and philanthropic organizations have on our community. Nonprofits particularly have powerful visions that motivate their work and better us all, and we seek to empower them. That support is the cornerstone of United Way’s founding and our ongoing operations.
Collaboration between nonprofits improves peoples’ lives and strengthens our community—and we’re not the only ones to recognize it. Hence, Giving Tuesday developed, which occurs in 2023 on November 28. To celebrate #GivingTuesday, we’re encouraging our supporters to express gratitude to local nonprofits. How? You have several options, such as:
- Donate to United Way so we can reach higher to lift up more people.
- Check out our funded partners and make a donation to one of them.
- Sign up to volunteer with a nonprofit on BetheChange907.org.
Together, we’ve accomplished a lot during 2023. Every success has been made possible by community members supporting United Way’s and nonprofits’ efforts. However, as you know, our work continues. Learn about our priorities. Thanks to your support, though, we’ll keep taking steps to help children succeed in schools, adults secure good-paying jobs and individuals access health services.
By taking part in this worldwide day dedicated to donating, you’re empowering United Way and nonprofits to implement more solutions so that everyone in our community has the opportunity to thrive. Let’s say thank you to all nonprofits this #GivingTuesday!
